If there’s one thing we could trade from the Pakistanis in place of Kashmir it would have to be their cute looking, dashing and melodious rock bands. If Jal didn’t quench your thirst make way for Raeth. Raeth offers a unique mix of the eastern and western sounds. Their brand new album recently launched is already a hot seller in India. Raeth offers a trademark Pakistani rock band quality with meaningful lyrics and a crisp music composition. It’s high time you took out those Jal CDs from your players, make way for Raeth. They rock! No not just because they’re cute, they can really rock!

The album comprises of ten track including a remix. Raeth is a three member music band with one session musician. That unique blend of guitars and the drums added with amazing lyrics makes me wanna jump! The title track Bhulado is already hitting the national television with a cool video. The song is a chart buster already and the band is all set to come out with a brand new video for another track pretty soon!

“All this time I thought you loved me”, he said in a low tone looking at her half filled cup of her favorite cappuccino. Coffee was the only thing common left amongst them. Two years had seen them in the best of laughter, fun, stupid fights, adventurous sneak outs, passionate moments and an awful long list of things people get to do in love today. Two years is a long time. Two years make a hell of a difference. For them it was both the best and the worst part of their life.
“I can’t take you anymore and moreover it’s not working out so let’s just quit!”, she said. He looked at her with his eyes almost week with tears. One could easily make out that he was the one eager to carry on with their relationship as the tears in his eyes waited momentarily as if just waiting for one single command from their master. “And I thought everything was fine, everything is great”, he said. His voice had come down as if it had been thrown down from a high cliff. For him these two years had been the best. He loved her for each and every moment. He pampered her with all that he could afford. He bent down on his knees every time to make up for his mistakes even when it was his fault at all. He did everything he could everything that a man could ever do to make his woman happy. Somehow something went wrong somewhere. His mind could figure out the complex calculations of what, when and how something went wrong.
“Look there’s nothing wrong with you it’s just me”, she said while finishing her cup of coffee. She put her cup down and adjusted her hair. She took out her cell phone and started punching the keys. He looked at her in despair. He never felt so helpless in his entire life. Everything he thought of had died off during a cup of coffee. Probably the last cup of coffee he had with her.

Your ears have been used to the word ’Dengue’ for quite some time now. It’s usually been the mosquito repellent promos so far. Suddenly the word has become so common these days. You hear more of dengue than goofy politicians or Sourav Ganguly’s inability to make it to the cricket team. Dengue is official now. People are falling sick to the disease. The numbers are increasing day by day and it’s scary. You’re probably thinking how big a damage can a small mosquito do. Think again. It’s as scary as your ex boyfriend or girlfriend but it’s true. Let’s spread some facts.
According to WHO (That’s not who the heck that’s World Health Organization);
Dengue is an acute fever caused by a virus. It occurs in two forms:
1. Dengue Fever
2. Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever
Dengue fever is marked by the onset of sudden high fever, severe headache and pain behind the eyes, muscles and joints.
Dengue Haemorrhagic fever (DHF) is a more severe form, in which bleeding and sometimes shock occurs – leading to death. It is most serious in children. Symptoms of bleeding usually occur after 3-5 days of fever.
The high fever continues for five to six days (103 – 105 OF or 39- 40 OC). It comes down on the third or the fourth day but rises again. The patient feels much discomfort and is very weak after the illness.
Dengue spreads rapidly and may affect large number of people during an epidemic resulting in reduced work productivity, but most importantly causing the loss of lives.

It’s not everyday that you rush to your nearest music store and ask for a CD with some amount of desperation. When names like JP Dutta, Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan, Shabana Azmi and Suneil Shetty appear in one go it’s breathtaking for me at least. Abhishek looks stunning in the ongoing promos and Aishwarya seems a doll. An old worn-out doll. A doll with a lot of make-up. Enough! So it’s Umrao Jaan again. Not that I’ve seen the previous version but I have some hopes on this one. Two things. JP Dutta’s movies are definately worth a watch and the main glitter Abhishek Bachchan. Probably the only reason for me to watch the movie!
Coming back to the music scene. Anu Malik somehow manages to create some music with a little bit of noise. Well it’s music by the second and third time you hear it. It somehow gives you a total feeling of sitting in some mehfil and youcan smell that flavour of yesteryears. With everyone trying hard to stick their noses into making remakes it seems to have become a viral in Bollywood. With Don already lined up for Diwali, Umrao Jaan might add to your popcorn moolah.

So when college decided to set us free we didn’t look behind. We decided to elope. Only this time we had ourselves to run away with. Off we go and after a few calls and a jerky ride on a Punjab Roadways bus we finally landed on our destination. Woh Lamhe was the obvious choice but theatre schedules made it forbidden. Left with not much of a choice we decided to play with Khosla KA Ghosla. I expected the movie to be a normal attempt at comedy but it surely proved me wrong. It’s way too much better than just that!
From start till the end the movie doesn’t let you get up for a bag of popcorns. That’s one reason why I remained hungry for the whole time! The story has been well set with a realistic touch on each and every details. Anupam Kher plays Mr. KK Khosla who finds himself on the verge of losing his newly bought plot in Delhi. The police is helpless, the laywers are discouraging and so is the property dealer who sold off the plot to him. Boman Irani is amazing again though I felt he wasn’t used to the full potential. Vinay continues to inspire with his ability to deliver humor the way it’s supposed to be. He was awesome in Pyaar Ke Side Effects (a must watch!) and he’s brilliant here too! The rest of the cast is good enough. Tara Sharma is plain noise.
The best part of watching movie with your friends (read just guys) is that you don’t need to worry about anything and you can just enjoy your movie. You can enjoy sitting in the front row (I was in the second!), laugh out loud, talk on the cell phone, make your legs comfortable, yawn and munch a packet of chips. Today was the first time I saw a few couples sitting on the cheaper seats in the front rows. Now that’s something new to me! Anyways come back to the movie and it’s a total timepass. Watch it with your friends, watch it in the front row, shout (no i don’t do that), whistle (i’m a good chap) and yawn (I don’t do that either!).
